Smallville e Lances da Vida conquistando audiência no SBT
Apesar das críticas dos telespectadores em relação ao não cumprimento da seqüência dos episódios de algumas temporadas das séries e o grande número de alterações feitas na grade de horários da emissora, as séries que são exibidas pelo SBT no domingo estão conquistando a audiência. Os índices revelam a força dos seriados norte-americanos na indústria global de entretenimento. No ano de 2006, o SBT renovou o contrato com a Warner até 2013. Na época, a notícia foi dada pela Variety. O contrato dá direito de exclusividade ao canal para a exibição de filmes e desenhos animados produzidos pela empresa. As emissoras de TV aberta no Brasil, no caso o SBT, já apostam nos seriados americanos para alavancar os seus índices de audiência, já que o público-alvo na maioria das vezes são telespectadores que não possuem TV a cabo. O seriado “Lances da Vida” é exibido no Brasil pelo SBT, na TV aberta, e pela FOX, TV paga. “Lances da Vida” que foi criado em 2003 está na quarta temporada, com previsão para o início da quinta temporada no início de 2008 nos EUA. A série conta a história de Nathan e Lucas que são dois meio irmãos que possuem em comum o pai, Dan Scott, e o dom para jogar basquete.
